Fikscue, an Indonesian-Texan halal barbecue restaurant founded by Fik and Reka Saleh, supplied halal meals inside Chase Center for the first time during the Warriors’ home game against the New York Knicks. Known for blending Texas-style smoked meats with Indonesian side dishes, the Alameda-based restaurant has gained widespread attention since opening in 2023 and recently expanded to a new location at Thrive City near the arena.

The event formed part of the Warriors’ fifth annual Muslim Heritage Night, organized in collaboration with HalalFest. It brought together hundreds of Muslim fans for a celebration centered on halal food, cultural recognition, and community inclusion—particularly significant amid heightened concerns over Islamophobia and discrimination.

According to HalalFest founder Irfan Rydhan, attendance this year was the largest to date, with around 700 tickets sold. Of these, 250 included pre-ordered boxed halal barbecue meals from Fikscue. Premium ticket holders also had access to an all-halal buffet, while the arena provided a dedicated prayer space for Muslim attendees.

For many fans, the event represented progress toward greater accommodation of halal dietary needs in mainstream entertainment spaces. Despite Fikscue’s proximity to Chase Center, its Thrive City outlet normally counts as “outside food,” making this in-arena collaboration especially meaningful. The strong response further reinforced calls for a permanent halal food option inside the venue.

For the Salehs, participation in Muslim Heritage Night aligned with Fikscue’s founding mission as a fully halal operation. As the business continues to grow beyond pop-ups into large-scale venues and public events, the owners see community-focused collaborations like this as central to their identity and long-term vision.
