These recommendations emerged from a workshop titled &#8220;Halal Market, Production Methods, and Certification Process,&#8221; hosted by the Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) at their Tejgaon office on Saturday.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Workshop Highlights<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The event brought together key government and industry figures, including Industries Ministry Secretary Md Obaidur Rahman as chief guest and BCI President Anwar-ul Alam Chowdhury (Parvez) as chair. Other notable participants included former Bangladesh Competition Commission director Khalid Abu Naser and officials from the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI). Twenty-two representatives from various stakeholder organizations attended the discussion.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Market Opportunities and Trends<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Secretary Rahman highlighted the rapid growth of the global halal sector, noting that consumer interest extends beyond Muslim populations. Non-Muslim buyers are increasingly drawn to halal products because of their health and safety guarantees, he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The halal concept has also expanded significantly beyond food products to include cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, textiles, tourism, and numerous other industries.
