These goals are part of Pakistan\u2019s broader efforts to combat climate change and promote environmental sustainability.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Development of a National Carbon Market<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Musadik Malik, Pakistan\u2019s Federal Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, has reaffirmed plans to launch the country\u2019s first national carbon market. This initiative follows discussions with the UN-supported Supporting Preparedness for Article 6 Cooperation (SPAR6C), which is helping several nations build capacity for carbon credit trading under the Paris Agreement.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>UN Partnership to Support Climate Action<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">SPAR6C, managed by the UN Environment Program, is working with Pakistan, Colombia, Thailand, and Zambia to develop carbon trading systems. In Pakistan, the program provides technical assistance, training for students, and pilot projects to establish strong and credible standards for carbon markets.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>Commitment to Transparency and Collaboration<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Minister Malik stated that Pakistan is committed to building a transparent, inclusive, and effective carbon market.
