Proven Excellence! Masako®, Sajiku®, and SAORI® Win TOP Halal Award 2025
JAKARTA – PT Ajinomoto Indonesia has once again demonstrated its dedication to delivering halal and high-quality products. At the TOP Halal Award 2025 ceremony, three flagship Ajinomoto products—Masako®, Sajiku®, and SAORI®—successfully secured recognition organized by Indonesia Halal Training & Education Center (IHATEC) Marketing Research on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Hotel JS Luwansa, Kuningan, South Jakarta.
Masako® received the award in the ‘Seasoning’ category, Sajiku® in the ‘Instant Seasoning’ category, and SAORI® for the ‘Oyster Sauce’ category.
Celebrating Authentic Halal Brands
Carrying the theme “Building Authentic Halal Brands to Capture the Muslim Market,” the TOP Halal Award aims to recognize brands that have successfully established a strong halal image in the minds of Indonesian consumers.
In her address, Ceria Graselda, FRA & EA and SSP General Manager at PT Ajinomoto Indonesia, expressed gratitude and appreciation for the public’s trust in Ajinomoto products.
“We are deeply grateful for this recognition and extend our thanks to Indonesian families for their continued support and confidence in our products. This year, Masako® has been entrusted with the Top Halal Award 2025 once again—this marks the third time Masako® has received this honor as the Top Halal Award Brand 2025 in the seasoning category. This acknowledgment validates Ajinomoto’s commitment to ensuring product halal status and quality through comprehensive implementation of the Halal Product Assurance System (SJPH), from raw material selection through production processes to distribution. Beyond Masako®, our other products Sajiku® and SAORI® have also received halal recognition from IHATEC in 2025,” stated Ceria.

As the award organizer, IHATEC Marketing Research emphasized that the TOP Halal Award represents not only appreciation but also demonstrates brand owners’ success in maintaining their commitment to providing halal and quality products, particularly among millennial consumers.
Reviana Havier, Head of Sauce and Seasoning 2 Department at PT Ajinomoto Indonesia, also shared her pride in Ajinomoto’s achievement.

Reviana Havier also expressed gratitude for the trust Indonesian society has placed in Ajinomoto products.
“This recognition will continue to motivate us to deliver products of the highest quality with guaranteed halal certification,” she stated.
Behind this recognition lies a story of trust built from society’s daily experiences. Through the Top Halal Index survey conducted in May 2025 using face-to-face interview methods and multistage random sampling, 1,800 respondents from six major Indonesian cities—Jakarta, Semarang, Surabaya, Medan, Makassar, and Balikpapan—predominantly from the millennial generation, voiced their choices. Without guided lists, they mentioned the most memorable halal brands in each product category. The results showed Masako®, Sajiku®, and SAORI® occupying top positions as the most remembered and trusted halal brands among consumers.
