While sectors such as whisky, artisan cheese, and gin receive substantial government support for international marketing, halal meat—despite being fully regulated by the Food Standards Agency and often produced using pre-stunning methods—remains overlooked.

The economic stakes are substantial. Market analysts project the global halal industry will reach $3.27 trillion by 2028, representing enormous potential for British exporters who can position themselves effectively in this growing sector.
