The ’10 best halal restaurants in Edinburgh’ this Ramadan and what customers say

From MSN | March, 2025

The “10 best halal restaurants in Edinburgh” have been revealed. A halal restaurant refers to an eatery that serves either primarily or only halal food. In other words, the dishes being served are permissible to eat according to Islamic rules.

As we previously reported, Ramadan began on February 28 and will end on March 30 this year. Ramadan is the ninth month of the Muslim lunar calendar, during which time followers of the religion do not eat or drink while the sun is up.

At the end of each day, those observing Ramadan break their fast with a communal meal called Iftar. If you are on the lookout for a nice restaurant to enjoy dinner in Edinburgh this month, Tripadvisor has shared a list of the top halal restaurants in the Scottish capital.

The Daily Record has rounded up all of the restaurants on Tripadvisor’s list. We have even included customer reviews, so that you know exactly what to expect from each one.
