Saudi Arabia Set to Unveil First Six Flags Theme Park Outside North America

JAKARTA — The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is preparing to launch its inaugural Six Flags amusement park on December 31, 2025, marking a significant milestone in Qiddiya City’s development as a premier destination for entertainment, sports, and cultural experiences.

This landmark attraction represents the first Six Flags facility to operate beyond North American borders and serves as a cornerstone of Qiddiya Investment Co.’s ambitious master-planned community. Situated in the scenic Tuwaiq Mountains, approximately 40 minutes from Riyadh’s center, the development embodies the company’s “Power of Play” philosophy.

Vision 2030 and Economic Diversification

The project aligns directly with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 transformation agenda, which aims to attract as many as 150 million annual visitors by decade’s end while diversifying the nation’s economy away from petroleum dependence.

Brian Machamer, who leads Six Flags Qiddiya City, emphasized the park’s significance: “This opening represents more than just welcoming guests for the first time — it demonstrates Qiddiya City’s commitment to groundbreaking creativity, memorable experiences, and establishing new standards in worldwide entertainment.”

World-Record Breaking Attractions

The facility will boast 28 attractions, featuring multiple world-record-holding rides. These include Falcons Flight, promoted as the planet’s tallest, fastest, and longest roller coaster; Iron Rattler, touted as the globe’s highest tilt coaster; and Spitfire, marketed as the world’s loftiest inverted coaster.

Families will find 18 specially designed rides, complemented by international restaurant options and shops featuring exclusive Six Flags products.The broader Qiddiya City vision encompasses hundreds of future attractions alongside residential units, commercial spaces, offices, hotels, medical facilities, and educational institutions within an extensive mixed-use development.

Accessibility and Transportation Options

Operating hours begin at 4 p.m. daily, with complimentary shuttle transportation available from designated parking facilities and Jeddah Metro Station, where service commences at 3 p.m. All transportation options accommodate guests with disabilities.

Ticket Pricing and Special Offers

Standard admission pricing starts at SR325 ($87) for adults and SR275 for children, with complimentary entry for infants under four years old. Guests may purchase an Unlimited GoFast Pass for expedited access to select attractions. Reduced-rate tickets for individuals with special needs, senior visitors, and their companions begin at SR75 and are available exclusively at the venue.
