DagangHalal Targets 2026 Expansion as Digital Halal Compliance Momentum Builds
The company considers 2026 a pivotal year to advance its established foundation, as the worldwide halal sector continues expanding and regulatory frameworks increasingly prioritize transparency, tracking capabilities, and technology-based compliance measures.
Industry assessments suggest the global halal food marketplace, presently worth more than US$2.7 trillion, is projected to experience substantial growth throughout the next ten years, driven by international export requirements and elevated standards throughout global supply networks.
“The year 2025 primarily involved establishing essential groundwork. We dedicated that period to reinforcing our central platform, improving our digital compliance solutions, and positioning ourselves operationally for subsequent phases. As we enter 2026, we aim to accelerate implementation and market participation while maintaining awareness of external factors and operational rigor,” the company stated.
During 2025, DagangHalal concentrated on consolidating its ecosystem and progressing long-term development initiatives toward market-ready status.
A significant achievement was launching the Halal Internal Assurance System (HIAS) commercially, a platform created to assist companies in digitizing Halal compliance, improving traceability, and minimizing dependence on manual inspection procedures.
Simultaneously, the company pursued expanded global recognition through involvement in prominent trade shows including MIHAS, Gulfood, THAIFEX, SIAL Paris, and Anuga.
These activities advanced continuous initiatives to widen the purchaser and supplier network while strengthening Malaysia’s standing as a reliable halal procurement hub.
DagangHalal also increased collaboration with industry participants and appropriate regulatory bodies to facilitate certification preparation, quality benchmarks, and export assistance, especially for SMEs encountering progressively sophisticated compliance demands in foreign markets.
Moving forward, DagangHalal intends to emphasize expanding its digital compliance framework, growing market reach throughout ASEAN, the Middle East, and East Asia, and gradually strengthening AI-powered traceability and oversight capabilities within HIAS.
The company continues developing supplementary systems to facilitate intelligent manufacturing and warehouse management aligned with Industry 4.0 developments.
“As halal oversight becomes increasingly data-focused, we are advancing technology solutions and cross-border commerce facilitation to accommodate this transformation. With foundational elements established, our priority in 2026 involves making steady progress and determining what achievements are possible given current market circumstances,” it noted.
Given Malaysia’s halal exports totaled RM61.8 billion in 2024 with national objectives anticipated to climb further by 2030, DagangHalal views the upcoming period as offering potential opportunities, contingent upon maintaining disciplined execution and favorable market conditions.
