Cosmobeauté Indonesia 2026: Championing Beauty Tech, Sustainability, and Inclusivity

JAKARTA – Following the successful conclusion of Cosmobeauté Indonesia 2025, which ran from October 9, PT Pamerindo Indonesia has announced its commitment to host the event again next year. The highly anticipated beauty industry trade exhibition is scheduled for October 1-3, 2026, at the same venue—Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) BSD City.

Indonesia’s Thriving Beauty Market

According to global data platform Statista, the Ministry of Industry recorded that Indonesia’s beauty industry revenue through the cosmetics market reached US$2.09 billion in 2025, with a projected annual growth rate of 4.73%. This momentum is driven by market acceleration, a strengthening middle class, and growing awareness of halal beauty products.

Juanita Soerakoesoemah, Portfolio Director of Cosmobeauté Indonesia, explained that with Indonesia’s beauty market projected to continue expanding through 2028, the industry represents a significant opportunity that must be maximized collectively.

“Cosmobeauté Indonesia will always be more than just an exhibition—it’s a strategic platform that connects the entire industry ecosystem, empowers local businesses to expand their market reach, strengthens regional competitiveness, and serves as a hub for collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange toward inclusive and sustainable growth in Indonesia’s beauty industry,” Juanita stated.

Economic Impact and Government Support

Taufiek Bawazier, Director General of Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Textile Industries at the Ministry of Industry, emphasized that the continuously growing economic value of the cosmetics industry creates substantial multiplier effects—not only generating employment but also supporting the national economy.

“Based on data and public enthusiasm, we’re optimistic that the cosmetics industry will continue strengthening its position and become a driver for enhancing Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global market. We have high hopes that Cosmobeauté Indonesia 2025 can contribute to new innovations in the cosmetics industry sector,” he explained.

Record-Breaking Participation

The 18th edition, held for the first time at ICE BSD City, expanded its segments to include Beauty Tech, Dental Care, and Mother & Baby categories.

Over 500 exhibitors from 17 countries/regions and 10 pavilions—including Saudi Arabia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Jordan, Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, France, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey, and Thailand—showcased 1,300 products over three days. This participation reinforces Indonesia’s position as a strategic market with global appeal among international brands.

Industry Association Support

Ir. Solihin Sofian, Chairman of the Indonesian Cosmetics Companies and Association (PPA Kosmetika Indonesia), praised Pamerindo’s consistency in organizing international-scale exhibitions that drive industry growth.

He noted that this industry’s growth aligns with the government’s commitment to promoting industrial downstream integration, digitalization, and strengthening Indonesian cosmetics branding on the global stage.

“We’re committed to remaining active as a strategic partner in advancing the national cosmetics industry. We hope the collaboration between PPA Kosmetika Indonesia and Cosmobeauté Indonesia will grow stronger, making this exhibition a platform for inspiration, collaboration, and business opportunities beneficial to all cosmetics industry players, both domestic and international,” Solihin said.

Celebrating Excellence and Innovation

This year’s event featured prestigious competitions, including the International Massage Competition by the Indonesian Spa Therapist Association (PASTI) and Southeast Asia Massage by the Indonesian Spa Association (ASPI).

According to PASTI Chairman Dr. M. Asyhadi, these two competitions were highly anticipated as they appeared in Indonesia for the first time, attracted international participants, and demonstrated Indonesian spa therapists’ professionalism on the global stage.

Sustainability and Inclusivity at the Forefront

Sustainability received special attention through the Sustainability Awards, recognizing exhibitors who innovate with environmentally friendly practices. The Wellness & Sustain Hub provided education on healthy lifestyles and sustainable products—including introducing green innovations and wellness service sessions with disability communities.

Inclusivity was mainstreamed through Cosmo Inclusive Class, a training program creating career opportunities for persons with disabilities in makeup and barbering fields.

Comprehensive Educational Programs

To enrich visitor and industry knowledge, over 50 supporting programs were presented: Beauté Live, Beautéducation, Beauté Speak, Beauté Spot, and Supply Chain Academy—serving as platforms for sharing best practices, inspiration, and cross-value chain collaboration.

Interactive experiences were offered through CosmobeautéXperience Connect, highlighting sustainable innovations and eco-friendly trends.

Addressing the rising trend in men’s grooming, a Barber Cutting Course & Hair Show featured workshops and grooming trend updates. In medical aesthetics, the CosmoAesthetic Conference & Seminar provided discussion space for aesthetic doctors and medical practitioners regarding non-surgical technology, innovations, and latest regulations.

The Supply Chain Academy covered key topics including private label, formulation, packaging, safety compliance, and raw materials. Creativity was showcased through Makeup Shows, Awards, and Spa Competition & Workshop—providing stages for professionals to demonstrate skills while nurturing new talent.

Business Matchmaking Success

For business acceleration, the Beauté Meeting business matchmaking program remained a flagship feature. Through scheduled, effective, and targeted meetings, exhibitors connected with relevant potential buyers matching their specific needs.

In 2024, this program facilitated 663 business meetings between 224 buyers from 119 companies and 210 active exhibitors, with transaction potential exceeding US$52,875 that continues today.

“This year, Cosmobeauté Indonesia was held with the concept ‘New Venue, New Experience’ to provide wider exhibition space and more complete facilities. We hope all visitors can experience a new, more inspiring experience while optimizing opportunities to start or develop their beauty businesses,” Juanita added.

Looking Ahead to 2026

Moving forward, organizers target increasingly tangible impact for local brands—from strengthening competitiveness to accessing global markets—while serving as a bridge for international brands to understand consumer behavior and Indonesia’s beauty market potential.

“Overall, Cosmobeauté Indonesia is expected to become an exhibition that serves as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration, and transformation to affirm Indonesia’s position as one of the world’s important beauty industry centers,” she concluded.
