Brazilian Halal Beef Exports Surge by 65%
At the 2025 Global Halal Brazil Business Forum in São Paulo, the Brazilian beef industry group ABIEC unveiled strong export data: in 2024 Brazil’s halal beef shipments jumped by 65% compared with 2023 — equivalent to over 500,000 additional metric tons.
Despite only nine months of data for 2025, ABIEC’s Market Intelligence Manager, Luc Vian, noted that the export volume already surpasses the full-year 2023 level, indicating strong confidence in the sector’s trajectory.
The forum, organised by the Arab-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce and the halal certifier FAMBRAS Halal Certifier, highlights Brazil’s growing role in the global halal-meat market and its ambition to strengthen supply chain credibility, traceability and halal-compliant production.
