Royal Pas Reform Transforms Saudi Poultry Production

By Wattagnet

Advanced Hatchery Drives Capacity Growth

Addoha Poultry Company, a prominent Saudi producer of fresh and chilled chicken, has initiated a large-scale expansion through the launch of a cutting-edge hatchery developed with Royal Pas Reform. This strategic investment is set to raise annual output from 55 million day-old chicks to 75 million by 2027, with a long-term target of 125 million birds per year by 2030.

In operation since August 2025, the hatchery applies advanced single-stage incubation systems, extensive automation, and precise climate control. Its infrastructure includes automated egg setting, fumigation for disinfection, dozens of SmartSetPro 6 setters, SmartHatchPro hatchers with monitoring technology, as well as dedicated chick storage units.

The facility is further supported by integrated chick handling lines covering take-off, sexing, vaccination, counting, and boxing, alongside washing equipment and waste management systems. Technical support systems such as heat exchangers, ventilation networks, air-handling units, cooling systems, and water chillers ensure stable and efficient operations.

Integrated Control Supports Monitoring Excellence

All hatchery operations are centralized through Royal Pas Reform’s SmartCenterPro software, which enables real-time data tracking, operational analysis, and streamlined reporting across the entire production process.

The hatchery operates under Addoha Poultry Company, a Dammam-based producer of fully Halal poultry products with roots dating back to 1989. The company formally became Addoha Poultry Company in 2008, and in early 2025, global food giant BRF acquired a 26% stake, signaling its entry into Saudi Arabia’s Halal chicken sector.

Expansion Aligns with Sustainable Halal Supply

APC CEO Eng. Abdullah S. Alhumaidan stated that the expansion reflects the company’s long-standing commitment to quality, market leadership, and future-oriented growth. He emphasized that doubling production by 2030 supports Saudi Vision 2030 and strengthens the availability of premium Halal poultry.

Engineering Director Abdulaziz Alhumaidan highlighted that the fully integrated hatchery was designed to maximize energy efficiency, biosecurity, and animal welfare while delivering consistently high-quality chicks.

Royal Pas Reform Sales Director Gregory Vanputte welcomed the partnership, expressing confidence in Addoha’s ambitious growth plans and optimism for the company’s continued success.
