JAKARTA – Two promising Indonesian small and medium enterprises (SMEs) recently represented the country at the prestigious Mega Halal Bangkok 2025 exhibition, demonstrating Indonesia’s commitment to expanding its presence in the global halal market. The event, held from July 16-18, 2025, at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), provided a crucial platform for local businesses to connect with international buyers and industry stakeholders.

Peruri’s Strategic Support Initiative

The participation of these Indonesian SMEs was facilitated by Peruri (Indonesian Security Printing and Minting Corporation) as part of their ongoing commitment to nurturing domestic businesses for global market penetration. This involvement stems from the company’s 2024 business incubation and mentorship program known as the Peruri Digital Entrepreneur Academy (PEDIA).

The selection process identified two outstanding businesses from Peruri’s mentorship program to represent Indonesia at this significant international trade show, highlighting their exceptional performance and potential for global expansion.

Featured Indonesian Enterprises

Addictea – Modern Artisan Beverages

Led by entrepreneur Sidik Maulana, Addictea has gained recognition for its innovative approach to local tea products. The company combines traditional Indonesian tea culture with contemporary artisan techniques, creating unique beverage offerings that appeal to modern consumers while maintaining authentic local flavors.

Dcraft Indonesia – Creative Cultural Crafts

Under the leadership of Dewi Caprianita Puspita Rini, Dcraft Indonesia specializes in creative handicrafts that showcase Indonesia’s rich cultural heritage. The enterprise focuses on innovative designs that blend traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetic sensibilities, creating products that tell the story of Indonesian culture through contemporary design.

International Exposure and Networking Opportunities

The Bangkok exhibition provided these businesses with more than just display space. Participants engaged in comprehensive business matching sessions, halal product exhibitions, and international showcases centered around the theme “Purity Way of Life.” These activities opened doors for expanding business networks and connecting with potential buyers from various countries across the globe.

The event served as a strategic venue for introducing Indonesia’s premium halal products to international markets while providing valuable insights into the dynamics and potential of the continuously growing global halal market.

Strategic Vision for Global Expansion

Aris Wibowo, Strategic Corporate Branding & TJSL Manager at Peruri, emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting SME participation in both domestic and international exhibitions to broaden local product reach in global markets.

“Our commitment extends beyond just exhibition participation,” Wibowo stated. “The most crucial aspect lies in post-exhibition follow-up actions, including the realization of strategic partnerships that can accelerate SME development toward achieving global market status.”

Supporting National Economic Development

This international participation aligns with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises’ program to foster and accelerate SME performance. The initiative also represents Peruri’s concrete implementation of its mission to drive digital transformation and enhance business capacity among SME players, enabling them to compete globally through innovation and technology utilization.

The exhibition provided participants with direct opportunities to present their products to international visitors and industry professionals, offering valuable exposure and learning experiences about global market requirements and consumer preferences.

Future Aspirations

By showcasing their finest business partners on the international stage, Peruri aims to inspire more Indonesian SME players to continue developing, innovating, and penetrating global markets independently and sustainably. This approach reflects a broader strategy to position Indonesian businesses as competitive players in the international halal industry, which continues to show robust growth potential worldwide.

The success of these participants at Mega Halal Bangkok 2025 demonstrates the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian SMEs, paving the way for increased international recognition and business opportunities in the expanding global halal market.
